Growing up....

We recently went to Toronto, Canada after school ended back in June 2013.  Matthew graduated pre-school and Lauren graduated from nursery.  They both had successful spring shows at the end of their school year at Pierce Country Day School.  Lauren also performed at her first ballet recital and did wonderful!

For the summer, Matthew and Lauren are now going to summer camp at the Strathmore Vanderbilt Country Club where they are learning to swim and play tennis, along with various other sports that Manhasset is known for.  Michael also started Korean school and had a little rocky start but is now enjoying his time with fellow classmates.

Here are a bunch of pictures from our time in Toronto, Canada.  Our big learning experience from this trip where mommy took all three kids by herself to and from Toronto was that children's passports expire every five years.  That's right folks, we arrived at the airport only to realize that Matthew had an expired passport!?   We quickly learned that there are 24 hour emergency passport places as long as you foot the bill.  Regardless, we made it to Canada minus 3 days instead of 14 days.  We visited Canada's Wonderland and made good use of the Kidville and Planet Snoopy, African Lion Safari (a drive through safari!) and Toronto Zoo.  We ate LOTS of wonderful food, caught many types of caterpillars and bugs/spiders in our insect viewer, made many trips to The Canadian Superstore and best of all hung out with our cousin Audrey for a full week.

You will notice our little girl has a big cut on her left cheek.  This is what happens when you take three crazies to the airport and are waiting to check in with 3 humongous luggage bags. Matthew and Lauren decided to hang off the luggage bags and yes, they all fell on top of Lauren and somehow she came out unscathed other than a huge cut on her cheek.  Since then, the cut is slowly fading -- and alas, her career at Ford Models may be at risk.  Oh well.

We even squeezed in a whole family photo session as all of daddy's family was in town to visit.  In the end, all the kids got each other sick with fevers, boogers and lots of tears -- but mommy brought us all back in one piece.

Trying to take a picture with these three monkeys is no easy feat!

Oh sweet Audrey, we miss you!!!

Have a wonderful summer!  We will report back after the summer end to let you know what we are up to.  Hopefully these photos will tide you over.

Love,
The Kims
