Standing Up!

I am now about 8 1/2 months! I have a doctor's appointment next week so I'll find out how much weight I've gained and how tall I've gotten. I'm not looking forward to shots but I guess it comes with growing up. I've been having really bad teething lately as not only do I have my four top teeth but I'm getting my back molars as well -- yikes! But this means I can now mush more of my food. I love bananas and I've also had some sausage, fish, pears, cantaloupes -- all not mashed but in small pieces that I pick up myself and stuff into my face!

Also, I can now climb up to stand on everything. Here I am climbing up and standing with the help of the sofa. I was trying to get daddy's attention but he was engrossed in the computer so I decided to go see what he was up to...

I wanted to join in on the email he was sending out -- haha, mommy I see you!

A nice shot of my chubby legs -- hee hee. Look at my nice head of hair now -- it's still thin and fair but my bald spot is filling in nicely. Daddy gets jealous sometimes...

Last weekend, we went to Lake Placid. We stayed at Mirror Lake Inn and although the weather was not that great as it rained all weekend long, mommy and daddy got to get massages at the spa and I went swimming in the pool. We even got to see the CANAM tournament (Canada vs American hockey teams) playing at the Olympic stadiums. It was soooo fun!

Here we are at the 1980 rink where they had just finished playing a game. The Canadians lost this game to the American team.

Here we are at the 1932 rink (I think?) where they were having a skills relay. Again, the Americans kept winning against the Canadians. Mommy is thinking of sending me to an American hockey school instead of Canadian.

During our stroll in town in Lake Placid, we stopped by a camping store and we got suckered into buying a new ride for me! :) During our walk, it started snowing!! It was my first snowfall and I was a bit out of it. Oh well...hopefully I'll get to see more when we go to Canada.

Smile daddy!

Here I am happily crawling around and making a mess in our apartment. Don't you like my bulldog pajamas?

This morning, mommy got an order of Fresh Direct, so I decided to help her unpack the goodies...

Of course, I have to model the recyclable nature of the boxes...and that I'm cute.

Oh no, I got stuck in a box and tried to get it off...of course you see mommy (if you look closely her toes are showing so she can't deny it!!) taking pictures instead of trying to help me...

Still stuck!! -- so I decided to lean over and get the box off my head instead of trying to take it off with my hands.

Finally!? And just to show you how much I've grown, look at this picture when I just got out of the hospital. Can you believe how little I was? The same coat is now too short on my arms!?

Anyway, hope you guys are all keeping warm! It's freezing in New York now.

Warm hugs!
Matthew
