All in a weekend...

This past Saturday, I went to my first wedding. My Aunt Janet's sister, Eunice, got married to Tim in Tenafly, New Jersey. Eunice looked beautiful and the ceremony was really nice. My Uncle Dennis sang a duet for the special song with Yoon Jung, who also sang at Uncle Dennis and Aunt Janet's wedding.

On Sunday, my mom's Ahjae and his wife came to visit me. They thought my feet were the cutest part of me -- hee hee.

Here is the whole gang but mom was obviously not ready and neither was Grandpa Kwon. The second time around, we were all ready.

Grandpa Kwon with his spiffy bow tie, Grandma Kwon, mom and I.

Me with Uncle Dennis and Aunt Janet. Aunt Janet is due at the end of May and she was one of the bridesmaids. She looked stunning and is the most adorable pregnant lady. This is the last time we will see them before Baby Kwon is born. We wish them the best of luck with the delivery as I can't wait to meet my cousin soon!!

Uncle Dennis trying to calm me by bouncing me to some hip hop song...eeebers.

That morning, daddy was just taken with how cute I looked while I was sleeping. You see my legs, they fold up like that up to my stomach and make me really compact. This is how I was hanging for the last few months in mom's belly.

Here I am in an outfit from some of dad's Canadian friends with a football from Aunt Nancy and Uncle Tejpal.

Lastly, I was going to pull Mr. Ed in my cart but mom took too long taking the picture so I got a bit upset.

That was my busy weekend! Hope you all had a great one.

Finally!

Today I start my 7th week -- can you believe it? Time has flown so fast. I made a new friend today with Curious George. I found him digging through our shelves so I decided to befriend him. You can see that we fast became great friends and he even held my hand.

Sheepish grins...eventually turn into a SMILE! :)

Here are some more silly pictures and finally in a new outfit. Grandma Kwon requested that I get a wardrobe change as she was getting tired of looking at my photos in the same clothes...talk about demanding Grandma! -- just kidding!!

Have a good weekend everyone!

Almost Friday!

This past Tuesday, my Uncle Dennis and Aunt Janet arrived here for Tim and Eunice's wedding on Saturday. So, I braved the subway with my mom and met Grandma Kwon in Flushing. My eyebrows have also started to grow in and I've started to smile. I was really well behaved at Grandma Kwon's office and I even smiled and coo'd for my mom's employees -- as my dad would say, everyone wants me!

Uncle Dennis and Aunt Janet are expecting as well! So my girl cousin, aka Baby Kwon, will be born at the end of May. Aunt Janet looks fabulous and I put my hand on her belly and said "wassup" to Baby Kwon. I can't wait to meet her!!

Small hands and small feet :)

In dad's Russian hat -- it's a bit big for me now...

Bessie, my cow friend, and I. Of course mom had to take a picture of me sneezing as she loves to capture my expressions...

That's it for today. Still no smile on camera for mom. It is now the ultimate challenge.

Kisses,
Matthieu

Growing...

Happy Monday! I'm starting to get more of a schedule so things are a bit easier on my mom. I usually wake up every morning around 830AM then eat and take nap #1 at 11AM. Then I awake around 130PM or 2PM usually while mom takes me out for a walk. Then I eat again and take nap #2 at 4PM. I then get up and eat around 630PM when daddy comes home and play for a bit. Nap #3 is taken around 8 or 9PM and then I'm up at 12AM to feed and go back to sleep. Life is tough, you know?

This is my expression while I get burped.

Getting an early start for skills used in the working world.

And of course, almost standing! Who needs to learn how to crawl!?

6 weeks old!

Hello everyone! Today I am 6 weeks old. In honor of my milestone, mom of course had to take some pictures with some of my new friends and of course in my new clothes.

Playing with Ed, my new horse.

In my terry cloth outfit from my godmother, Michelle. And of course wearing shoes from Aunt Nancy and Uncle Tejpal.

My new hat from the Shands! It's a bit big but I'll grow into it, especially since I'll take after my mom and dad who both have big heads.

In my new wagon! And of course pulling my empty wagon along.

And, just some new expressions.. And if you didn't notice, wearing my cool onesie from Aunt Hiroko and Christian -- yes, I am Daddy's Little Wingman.

Have a great weekend folks!

Smile

My mom has been trying to capture my smile now when I'm awake but I haven't been cooperating. Grandma Kwon requested some pictures with my eyes open so mom got to work this morning...

Enjoying the sun in our living room..

This is mom cheating in trying to make me smile...

Flying class..

To infinity and beyond...

Here are some decent close ups...

See, this is where my mom is cruel. I was about to sneeze and she thought it would be funny to capture the before shots...eeebers!

Yesterday while mom was changing my diaper, I peed and it squirted all over my shirt and my face. I stopped crying abruptly due to the shock and then resumed crying after realizing what had happened. Mom was contemplating taking a picture of pee all over my face but that would be too cruel. Instead, she quickly mopped up my face and proceeded to tell dad about how funny it was.

5 weeks and going strong...

Today I had my one week checkup with the doctor as my weight was on the low side.  I now weigh 8lbs and 11ozs!  I gained that much in over a week.  The doctor was very proud of me.  I must say though that my pants and diapers are getting a bit tight on me so I figured I was rounding out my figure.  I also had my first shot for Hepatitis B.  It was painful but I took it like man.

Last Saturday, my grandparents from Canada left to go back home.  Mom has to do everything by herself but Grandma Kim made sure to make lots of pre-made food so mom could easily heat things up.  However, I like to make things challenging so I keep mom busy non-stop.  She rarely has a chance to put me down nor eat anything..

I can now smile somewhat when I am awake according to my mom.  However, she has yet to capture that shot and plus I only like to smile when I want to -- which is whenever my mom doesn't need me to -- hee hee.

I miss my grandparents from Canada but I'll be seeing them in a few months for my debut in Canada.  I better fatten up some more and learn to smile more regularly so that I can make my parents proud.

Look how fat I got -- do you see my double chin?  Comfortable being held in daddy's arms.

Hanging out in my Oeuf chair...

Doing what I do best and looking cute while doing it...napping

Sharing my best talents with daddy..
