Bathtime!!

Mom and Dad finally got around to taking some during and after pictures of bathtime. In the beginning I didn't really like it, but now the warm water feels really good, especially since Dad holds me during the bath.

This is the gaze I give my dad as my mom washes me....the warm water is niiiice. I show my dad my strength with my fists -- ready to fight.

Look how smushed my eye is against my dad's arm!

Ahhh....squeaky clean and getting dried...it's good to be a newborn and have everything done for you.

Of course some studio pictures in my new outfit before I'm swaddled up.

Ready for the red carpet...!

Oh yeah and happy 3 weeks old to me! :)

My Retired Mom

My mom takes good care of me all day long. My Canadian grandparents have been helping her out by making all her meals so that she can focus on caring for me and recovering.

However, sometimes mom gets bored and tests out her camera skills by using me as her subject.

Here is a shot of my Canadian maple leaf foot covers for Uncle Dan Choi, Aunt Marianne and Uncle James. They dropped by this past weekend to say hello during their weekend trip to New York.

Me on my diaper changing table...

You see, mom is supposed to be changing me and instead she's taking pictures while I have a wet diaper...*sigh* I seem like a bird in the first picture but really I was about to say something to my mom.

Hiding.... Pensive thoughts....

This is for Grandma Kwon. She loves the hairstyle I was born with -- if you look closely my hairs on both sides of my head come over my ears....hee hee.

Almost 3 weeks....

I'm almost three weeks now.  My grandparents think my head circumference grew.  Other than that my days have been spent sleeping, eating, pooping and playing.

In my onesie from Aunt Anjani.  It says rub here (meaning my tummy) for good luck.  Dad thinks I look like a monkey in this picture but mom thinks its funny.

My dad, whose head mom cut off, and I.  I'm about 1 1/2 weeks here.

Does my head look bigger?

Baptism

I shared my baptism with my mom during the Easter Vigil, March 22 at Our Lady of Peace Church.  My mom's godparents are my dad as godfather and Tiffanie as her godmother.  My godparents are Michael, dad's brother and my uncle, and Michelle, dad's sister and my aunt.  During the actual service, I slept through the whole thing, even when they poured water on my head.  My mom got doused with water and oil but she was radiant.

The whole family after both our baptisms in front of the holy water.

My mom with her godparents and me!

I slept through the holy water being poured on my head.  I must have been dreaming about what to eat next.

Great Grandparents

In my jungle activity chair from the Yims...its grrrreat.

Great gramps and granny...

My great grandparents came to visit me 2 days ago. They are in their 80s and going strong. My great grandmother said I was very handsome with good strong features. She also told my mom not to eat ginseng as it inhibits breastmilk production so no samgaetang (korean chicken soup) for mom! Instead, she brought some pumpkin puree soup to help with mom's swelling in her feet and hands.

We also got confirmation that Daniel's brother Michael will be my Godfather and sister Michelle as Godmother. Although Michael will not be at my baptism this Saturday when my mom gets baptized, Grandpa Kim will stand in as a proxy. Dios Padre (Godfather in spanish my way) will be skiing away his stress on a well deserved getaway in Vail.

Today, I went to my 2nd pediatrician visit. The doctor said that I gained 1 oz -- even after all that milk I eat, what can I say, I'm blessed with good genes and a fast metabolism. But I better get a move on gaining some weight by my next visit so my hockey legs get stronger.

I'll post some pictures when my dad gets back home from work as my mom is not really into technical aspects of this blog other than writing.
