Today, I went to the doctor for my 2 month checkup. I now weigh 11lbs 3ozs and am in the 37th percentile! I am quite tall for my age at 23.6 inches (74th percentile), with a head circumference of 38cm (11th percentile). My head is not that big I guess according to the average baby but it still is pretty proportional to the rest of my body.
I also got 2 shots and one oral vaccination but I was good and only cried when the shots were being administered. Right after, mom had milk on hand to comfort me.
It's raining a lot today so no walks for us today. I'll just be recovering from my vaccinations.
I'll post some pictures later once I wake up from my nap.
Keep dry everyone!

Model Shots
Almost 9 weeks!
Hello everybodee!
This past weekend we met with my dad's cousins Helen and Jay for the Tribeca Film Festival Family Day. Ha-Rin who is now 1 1/2 years old is such a cool cousin of mine and I can't wait for her to teach me everything! There were lots of performers, music and activities but I was too little to participate -- maybe next year. Instead my mom and dad just tried to get all the free stuff they were giving out.
Afterward, we met up with the current world traveling family, the Dhrolias. They were most recently in Turkey, Egypt and Argentina for a wedding and will soon be off again to Asia before they return back to NY. Jacob Dhrolia, who is my older friend (almost 1 1/2 years old) is enjoying the travel and looks great!
On Sunday, after mass, we had brunch with daddy's friends who will be temporarily moving to London for a few months. They have a boy named Tyler who is about 9 months and he was in fine form. Tyler lost his shoe on the way to meet us and his dad went all the way back to find the shoe -- he's such a superstar!
Also, this Tuesday, mommy and I started a playgroup with another mommy. There were 7 mothers in total who showed up and all the babies were all around my age. It was lots of fun as I finally got to see people my size instead of giant parents. I can't wait to see them next Tuesday!
Lastly, I got my passport finally so we are good to go traveling. My first trip will be to Toronto during Memorial Day weekend. I'm excited to see my Grandma Kim and Grandpa Kim as I haven't seen them in a while. My weekend there will be packed it seems as there are lots of people that want to meet me. I think I will start charging for visits....
Hanging with some of my amigos....

Tummy time! I just ate so I'm a bit pooped to be doing much exercise. Instead I decided I would model how cute I am..

My very concentrated look -- and no I am not pooping...

Here are some close ups of some of my newer expressions...I think I'm developing more of a personality now!

Here I am wearing my hat from the No family! :) It's still a bit big but mom made me wear it out when I was taking a walk with her in her sling so my head could be protected from the sun.

This is my parents fooling around with a watermelon that their Aunt gave them. They don't have room in their refrigerator to store the watermelon so instead my dad decided it would be a good plaything for me.

And here is an updated picture of Jacob with his dad! Look at Jacob's curly q's ... I wish I had more hair!

And of course, on more exciting news, my parent's friends, Annie and Paul, had their baby girl, Elsa Morgan Scurfield on May 7! Congratulations to the new member of the Scurfields -- we can't wait to meet her. :)

Daddy and I
Since dad and mom usually take my pictures, you don't see them much on my blog. Therefore, dad wanted to make sure he got some good shots with me before I get big so here are some shots with dad.
These first two pictures here are warm up shots. I needed to make sure mom and dad were paying attention to me.

Dad and I share a moment.

Posing in front of our new painting with my hoodie on. Then one picture without my hoodie so you can see my nice round head. Do you think I look like daddy?

This is my Jabba the Hut pose from Jedi although I am definitely not as fat and ugly as Jabba. *roar*

I love being in daddy's arms. Smiling a little bit and then some more...

That's all I could handle before I got hungry!
Love,
Matthew

It's been a while
Hi Everyone,
It's been a while since I've updated as I've been a very busy baby. This past Friday I went to a birthday party for my parent's friend, Gerry. Mom carried me in her sling and I slept for most of the party until around 10PM when I awoke and could not stop staring at everyone at the party! Then on Saturday I went to see Grandma and Grandpa Kwon along with the great grandparents and my mom's Aunt and Uncle Im at a Korean restaurant in Flushing. On Sunday after mass, I went to Aunt Emily and Uncle Kevin's place for a brunch. There I met mom's friends including Jen Shin, Jen Park, Sarah Keh, Sarah Kim and Chris Paugh, Alison and Shannon (she came all the way from Boston!). We had a great time and I was such a good boy entertaining everyone while they held me.
Mom went to her ob post partum visit yesterday and everything looks good. I finally got to thank Dr. Gerlach for delivering me into the world. She commented on how cute I was! Mom was given the okay to exercise so its time for her to hit the gym. She has 20lbs to lose!!
Here are some pictures of what I've been up to since that's all you really care about anyway! I'm definitely getting bigger as I'm fitting into some 3-6 months clothing and my diapers are definitely tight. I think I'm going to be wearing the size up soon! :)
I've been doing a lot of smiling and talking, especially when mom and dad read me books.

I'm very content here...and the next face, I'm not sure what I'm doing but mom gets a kick out of it whenever she sees it..

The following four pictures are a series that makes my mom crack up. I've obviously shopped and am hanging the shopping bag on my arm. Mom says its good practice for when I get a girlfriend and I have to hold her bags. You see, I'm slowly losing my center of gravity in the next picture ... and yes, that's my mom foot in the right bottom corner!

Definitely lost my center of gravity now....and look where I ended up!? And of course, mom thinks it's hilarious and does not pick me up but instead takes pictures.

Here I am in my outfit from Grandma Kim. Daddy thinks I look like a priest here and mom calls my outfit my shirtdress. Dad does not like references to dresses when I'm in them so mom had to get me out of it quickly thereafter...

This past Monday, I finally got my passport application in. Mom and dad tried to take my passport photos themselves, however, they eventually had to get it done at a photo lab as they couldn't get my face to look head on with both ears visible. For your enjoyment, you can see some of the samples that dad took here.

And these were mom's samples. I think mom's came out better although my background is a bit ghetto as she used 4 pieces of paper to make the background white .. hee hee.

Then of course, my mom decided that I should take a Dumbo picture. The picture next to it is me modeling my new newsboy hat that I'm still too small for.

Its turned a bit cold in New York so I haven't been able to go out for walks too much with mom the past few days. However, we finally went out today for some fresh air and I loved it.
Time to go eat now!
Love,
Matthew

What's Up?
Hi Everyone,
As you can see, I've been growing quite a bit. I'm almost 7 weeks old now and am so cute my dad is thinking of sending my pictures into the Ford model agency. I told him I should probably start with the folks at Gerber or Pampers as Dolce might not have something as appropriate for my adorable face.
Yes, I'm standing -- but do you see on what? haha.

Hi mommy....I love you!

This was the day I was supposed to go and get my passport photos done. However, I was not cooperative so now my dad has to figure out how to take them while lying me on the floor. But thank goodness I'm so cute, otherwise dad would have yelled at me for sure...

This is an outfit my dad picked out for me. The bum is the best part!!

A close up just in case you missed it! :) hee hee.

Love,
Mattheiu
